Bollywod

Recently, there has been dispute between bollywood film producers and movie theaters owners. While the film producers are threatening to stop making movies if they dont receive 50% of the revenu raised by multi-screened movie theaters. The movie theatres declare that they will just continue to play old movies until the dispute is resolved. Also in
October, Indian film and television production stopped when a leading Bollywood union of actors, writers and techinicians went on strike. They were demanding for better working conditions. The only thing I am wondering, is why there is so many strikes? And how can the working conditions be so horrible?
