Outside Reading #5

Bella went with Edward and his family to go play baseball. With their speed of play and fast pitches, every time they hit the ball, it makes a very loud noise. After playing awhile Alice, Edward’s sister, all of a sudden becomes frightened. Being vampires, Edward and his family all have special gifts, and Alice‘s gift is to see the future. She becomes nervous because before they went to play baseball, she saw other vampires traveling by them, but they still decided to go play because she said that the others wouldn’t hear them. As it turns out, she was wrong about the others. “‘They were traveling much quicker than I thought. I can see I had the perspective wrong before,’ she murmured … ‘They heard us playing, and it changed their path,’ she said”. With Bella there, they decide not to run because it would be too hard to carry her. Since these other vampires might not be like the Cullen’s and eat animal blood instead of humans’, their encounter might cause some major conflict in the story. My prediction is that the other vampires will try to hunt Bella, but there will be a fight between the Cullen’s and the others too keep Bella alive. Also, the Cullen’s might have to move, if the threat from the others continues.
