Outside Reading #7
The plan of getting rid of the tracker is set in motion. As Bella returns home to grab her stuff to leave, she has to lie to her father so that he lets her go home. She eventually has to lie and tells him that she broke up with Edward and that she hates Forks, and leaves. When they arrive at the Cullen’s house the whole family is told about the plan and they all agree with it, except for Rosalie. She even goes as far to say that Bella is nothing to her besides of a menace who brings danger to her. Later in the chapter, when Emmet and Alice are about to leave with Bella, Emmet contradicts Rosalie by saying, “You are worth it”. Also, in order to go faster then human pace the vampires carry Bella around as they run. Before picking her up Alice asks Bella, “May I?” and Bella response “You’re the first one to ask permission”. These quotes show me that it’s not only Edward that cares about Bella, but now it’s the whole family, except for Rosalie, but she is just jealous of Bella. Just the fact that they are all willing to risk everything to keep Bella safe says a lot.
